Ultrasonic wind sensor

Wind speed and direction sensor and data analysis with Smartyplanet

The SPR120-02 ultrasonic wind sensor is the ideal solution for analyzing wind speed and direction with high accuracy under extreme conditions.

The instrument is robust due to its metal construction.

It incorporates an automatic heating system that makes it capable of withstanding conditions such as cryogenic rain or freezing.

Its function is to collect data on the difference in propagation time in the air. Once it captures the data, it transmits it directly to the Smartyplanet web platform for analysis.

This sensor is ideal for environmental and meteorological monitoring, as well as in similar fields that require wind analysis.

The SP05108-L anemometer is the ideal solution for measuring wind speed and direction parameters.

This device is specifically for applications where sensor access is limited and conditions are difficult.

It is a rigid thermoplastic instrument with stainless steel and aluminum accessories.

The bearings of this anemometer are made of ceramic and the bearings of steel, making the anemometer suitable for marine applications.

The anemometer's design is based on a four-bladed propeller. The propeller's rotation produces a sinusoidal alternating current wave with a frequency proportional to the wind speed.

This signal is induced in a coil by a six-pole magnet mounted on the propeller shaft. The coil is located in the non-rotating central section, eliminating the need for slip rings and brushes.

In contrast, wind direction is detected by the orientation of the sensor body, which is connected to an internal positioning system.

The data logger applies an excitation voltage to the potentiometer. The output is an analog voltage signal proportional to the wind's inlet angle.

The anemometer is fully compatible with the Smartyplanet web platform so the data can be analyzed instantly.
