Ultrasonic wind sensor

Wind speed and direction sensor and data analysis with Smartyplanet

The SPR120-02 ultrasonic wind sensor is the ideal solution for analyzing wind speed and direction with high accuracy under extreme conditions.

The instrument is robust due to its metal construction.

It includes an automatic heating system that makes it capable of withstanding conditions such as cryogenic rain or freezing.

Its function is to collect data on the difference in propagation time through the air. Once the data is captured, it is transmitted directly to the Smartyplanet web platform for analysis.

This sensor is ideal for environmental and meteorological monitoring, as well as similar fields requiring wind analysis.

The SP05108-L anemometer is the ideal solution for measuring wind speed and direction parameters.

This device is specifically for applications where sensor access is limited and conditions are difficult.

It is a rigid thermoplastic instrument with stainless steel and aluminum accessories.

The bearings of this anemometer are ceramic and the bearings are steel making the anemometer suitable for marine applications.

The anemometer's design is based on a four-bladed propeller. The propeller's rotation produces an alternating current sinusoidal wave with a frequency proportional to the wind speed.

This signal is induced in a coil through a six-pole magnet mounted on the propeller shaft. The coil is located in the central, non-rotating section, eliminating the need for slip rings and brushes.

Instead, wind direction is detected by the orientation of the sensor body, which is connected to an internal positioning.

The data logger applies a voltage to the potentiometer. The output is an analog voltage signal proportional to the angle of wind entry.

The anemometer is fully compatible with the Smartyplanet web platform, so data can be analyzed instantly.
