This instrument is based on an optoelectronic distance sensor that emits visible laser light, allowing probing distances of up to 30 meters.
Unlike ultrasonic snow depth sensors, the laser distance measurement technique is independent of temperature changes.
The data collected by the sensor is accurate and reliable, and thanks to compatibility with the Smartyplanet web platform, it can be analyzed instantly.
