Flow sensor
Snow monitoring and data analysis with Smartyplanet
The SPF4 flow sensor is the ideal solution for real-time snow monitoring.
It is a very low power acoustic instrument.
Installation can be carried out in remote locations where weather conditions are difficult as it is completely sealed and has no moving parts.
The impact of snow flow and laminar air friction of wind induce the change in internal acoustic pressure.
The two excitations are discriminated as independent signals as a result of a specific acoustic, mechanical and electronic design.
In this way, the data collected by this flow sensor is recorded and analyzed by the Smartyplanet web platform, as it is fully compatible.

Technical characteristics
The SPF4 flow sensor is the ideal solution for real-time snow monitoring.
It is a very low power acoustic instrument.
Installation can be carried out in remote locations where weather conditions are difficult as it is completely sealed and has no moving parts.
The instrument includes an analog conditioning module, a digital input and output module, and an analog restitution module that can be connected to any external central unit.
The sensing part of the instrument is a cylindrical, anti-abrasive, non-stick tube supported by two stainless steel arms.
